Bavarian State Prize for Young Designers
BAVARIAN STATE PRIZE FOR YOUNG DESIGNERS
On 6 March 2017, the Bavarian Ministry of Economics awarded the Bavarian State Prize for Young Designers for the 17th time. In 2016 a total of 157 junior designers submitted their diverse, creative work:
20 in industrial design, 36 in communication design, 13 in interior design, 24 in fashion design, 13 in textile design, 12 in digital design, 10 in design theory / design research and 29 in design craftsmanship.
After a preselection a top-class jury awarded a total of six state prizes and gave recognition for further eleven works. The national prizes are each valued at EUR 7.500, the awards are given at EUR 1.000 each.
A further 18 submissions were included in the exhibition and the catalog.
